Close ups with this year’s calves

Thanks to Maddie Dawson, we now have some portraits of our calves to share with our supporters.  Maddie described the herd as “very relaxed, happy and healthy!”  It you want to observe the cows and calves in person, they are now grazing near the farm stand, just off West Shore Road.    It’s fun to watch the calves nursing off mama’s huge udder;-)  They grow so quickly on gallons of milk daily.  We have a separate herd of yearlings grazing alongside Sunset View Road.  The cattle love the cool fall weather and the abundant forage.
