Meatloaf

Meatloaf — every day and special for guests

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal (or breadcrumbs)
  • 1 egg
  • 4 Tablespoons catsup
  • 4 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 Tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Heat oven to 350F.  Mix all ingredients and pat into loaf pan.  Bake around an hour until done.

To make it special:  before baking, make a glaze of

  • 3 Tablespoons catsup
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar

Spread the glaze over the raw meat mixture and bake.
