Beef Kabobs

Mix all marinade ingredients together (recipe below)

Reserving 2 tablespoons of the marinade, place the marinade in a zip-loc plastic bag with

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin or sirloin tip steak cut into 1-inch cubes

Massage the beef and marinade together and refrigerate at least an hour or even overnight.

Marinade (mix all ingredients together)

  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat grill to high.  Assemble vegetables such as mushrooms, tomatoes, sweet peppers and red onion (cut into 1″ cubes) on skewers, alternating vegetables with meat.  Drizzle the reserved marinade over the skewers.  Place the skewers directly on the grill and reduce heat to medium high.  Grill 8 to 12 minutes, flipping the skewers every other minute, until meat is medium rare and veggies are a little charred around the edges.  Rest a few minutes before serving.
